Notes
Dan Moretti, Jazz Musician, Teacher, "Dan Moretti knows well the delight of the first sound made by the child with his instrument. He has been re-creating that sound with children and young teens for years in the many classrooms he visits and works in. For Moretti that delight remains alive within his own music. His passion and excitement can be easily heard in one of his live performances or on one of his six recorded CDs. The tenor or soprano sax is Moretti's preferred instrument and he has shared his music in benefit concerts for the Music School and United Cerebral Palsy. he has performed with many of the world's best known singers, including Tony Bennett, Aretha Franklin and Diana Ross. He is on the faculty of Salve Regina University and The Music School in Providence." from "Remarkable People: Rhode Island Family Album, 1993-1995, Photographs and writings by Stephan Brigidi, a publication and exhibition at the Newport Art Museum, April 6-June 2, 1996
