Description
A snuff box (Dutch, c. 1875) made of silver with a hinged lid. Embellishing the lid is a plain circle and wave pattern trim while the body of the box is decorated by a series of repeating patterned horizontal bands consisting of dashes, foliate designs, and a grid and dot pattern. Monogramed in a punched style are the initials “A.J.M” along the bottom of the box. The Dutch passant lion and a maker’s mark of “77 / YB” are stamped next to the monogram.
