Description
A pill box (Dutch, c. 1895) made of silver with repoussé decorations. The hinged lid features a large stylized flowerhead above a geometric diamond and dot border. A band of vertical lines encircles the body of the box and is superimposed by the figure of a hunter on the front, a scrolling vine cartouche, and two geometrically decorated quatrefoils on the sides. Stamped into the underside of the box is the Dutch passant lion and a second illegible mark.
