Description
A two-handled trophy cup (American, c. 1910) made of silver by E.G. Webster & Son. Awarded to an unknown person by the South Shore Field Club, the cup of the trophy includes an inscription that reads “South Shore Field Club / BAYSHORE.L.I / AUGUST HANDICAP / 1910”. The back of the cup reads “WON BY” in block letters and is left blank. Large handles which curve inward and attach to the top rim of the body decorate the sides of the trophy. Within the base is a maker’s mark of a spider’s web with a central star and the letter “W” within it. The numbers "2 4 1" are below the mark.
