Figurines of Emperor Maximilian I and Empress Carlotta of Mexico (19th century) made of bronze. Emperor Maximilian I reigned over Mexico from 1864ā1867 during the Second Mexican Empire. In these figurines Maximilian is depicted standing next to a column with a āNā surmounted by a crown, his hand and a hat rest atop the column. He wears a dress military uniform, his hair and mustache neatly styled. Carlotta stands with a fan in her left hand, her dress opulent with bows and lace while her hair is braided and twisted back in an intricate style.
