Description
A folding armchair (American, 19th century) by Pierre Jean Hardy. An ebonized faux bamboo X-frame with brass accents allows the chair to fold at the center, supported by two stretchers. The arms of the chair consist of folding gold metallic tape attached to the frame. The back and seat of the chair comprise of original beige cotton and gold metallic fringe upholstery with an English Renaissance pattern featured along the center.
