Miniature Figural Group of a Sage and Companion

A miniature figural group of a sage and companion (Chinese, Qing Dynasty, 19th century). The sage and his companion are made of carved jade, they stand on their own hardwood base made to look like a mountainous trail with a tree behind them. The scene is contained in a rectangular glazed case that rests on a square base with outturned feet.
