In this small oval portrait Ella Rives King (Mrs. David King Jr.) tilts her head slightly to the right, her dark brown hair is styled in an updo, and her hands are clasped together in her lap. She wears a grey dress and sheer shawl with a long string of pearls. The background is a simplified landscape of a tree and mountain range in the far back. The rectangular frame is gilded with dotted detail around the portrait and floral corners.
