A figural grouping of a family standing on a lotus pad base (Chinese, 19th century) made of ivory. A mother stands with her left arm around her young daughter, her right arm holds a baby. At her legs is a small boy with a flag in his hands. The family group stands on a decorative base shaped like a lotus flower, which rests on a rounded wooden stand with three round feet. The underside of the lotus base is carved with a rectangle containing unidentified characters.
