Description
A pair of beaker vases (French, c. 1910) made by Samson & Cie in the Chinese export style. The tall flaring molded porcelain vases rest atop ormolu bronze bases decorated with laurel leaves and berries supported on four claw feet. Each vase’s exterior is painted in the famille rose enamel style; depicting pheasants on stylized rockwork by flowering peony trees.
