Description
A suite of Napoleon III style furniture (French, c. 1900) upholstered in their original gold stripe silk damask. The suite is comprised of a pair of matching club chairs (.1-.2) and a chaise longue (.3). The club chairs have high rectangular scrolled backs with all-over upholstery and applied gold florettes on either side, scrolled armrests terminate in florettes and tassels, the deep seats are raised on short wooden legs hidden by a gold cord fringe. The similarly designed fully padded chaise longue has an extended seat raised on short wooden legs disguised by a gold cord fringe.
