Description
A colored linen ground plan and elevational section for the proposed new stables of George Peabody Wetmore, Esq., (English, c. 1880) drawn by the St. Pancras Iron Works, Old St. Pancras Road, London. This plan for the enlargement of the Wetmore stables proposed a full Mansard roof and cast-iron portico. This design by St. Pancras Iron Works was ultimately not carried out, instead George Peabody Wetmore (1846-1921) hired George Champlin Mason, a local Newport architect, to expand the stables at Chateau-sur-Mer. Original to Chateau-sur-Mer.
