An untitled oil on canvas still life with dead game (American, mid-late 19th century) by August Laux (American, born in Germany, 1847-1921). The canvas depicts an assortment of hanging dead game birds and rabbits above a table strewn with more dead game and hunting accessories. The artist’s signature “A. LAUX” is made to look like it is carved into the table on the bottom left corner of the canvas.
