Description
A pair of Louis XIII style walnut armchairs (French, c. 1890). Each with a tall rectangular upholstered back and seat, down-swept S-scroll arms terminating in volutes raised on curved supports, and four curved legs terminating in inverted scroll feet joined by a molded H-stretcher. The back and seat are upholstered is seventeenth century Verdure (garden) tapestry depicting flowering and leafy vines.
