Description
A William and Mary style stained oak bench (English, late 19th century) with a rectangular upholstered seat raised on four S-scroll and fluted legs terminating in Spanish style feet. The legs are joined by baluster turned X-shaped stretchers centering a platform with an urn finial. The upholstery is 17th century Verdure (garden) tapestry depicting leaves against a beige ground (similar to that covering PSNC.2613.1-.2).
