Description
A rectangular black lacquer and polychrome tray (Chinese, c. 1830) with raised gallery surround and rounded corners. The center is painted in red and gold depicting a pair of Chinese guardian lions, often referred to as "Foo dogs", and a flowering peony tree surrounded by stylized rockwork.
