Description
A pair of Napoleon III style upholstered benches (American, 1892-1895) made by William Baumgarten & Co., NY, designed by Emile Baumgarten (American, 1865-1922) for use in The Breakers Billiard Room. The oblong benches have rectangular stuff over seats upholstered in green velvet trimmed with green and gold braids hanging from the seat rail and have large gold tassels hanging from the corners. The benches stand on six turned and reeded legs. Each bench has three matching loose cushions.
