Description
A Chinese export covered cider pitcher or punch jug (Chinese, early 19th century) of a swelled body form which tapers at the rim and foot. The pitcher has a rounded spout, gilt edge rim, and a twisted strap handle terminating in raised gilded flower heads and leaves. The lid is surmounted by a gilded foo-dog.
