Photograph depicting David King, Jr. (1839-1894) sitting and Samuel Wyllys Pomeroy (1836-1901) standing. Pomeroy was King's brother-in-law, married to King's sister Mary Jane (1845-1891). On the back of the photograph is pasted a small piece of paper identifying it as a stereoscopic view. However, because this is a single photograph rather than a pair of images, it is not a stereogram. The photograph was taken by the studio of J.A. Williams in Newport, Rhode Island.
