A Chinese Export Famille-rose Tea Caddy with Later Cover

A Chinese Export famille-rose tea caddy with a later cover (Chinese, c. 1780). The tea caddy is of rectangular form with rounded shoulders, the shoulders are decorated with an iron-red puce dot and band border. The front and back of the tea caddy is painted with a small floral sprig against a white ground. The later replacement cover is painted with three iron-red floral sprays around a partially gilt knob.
