Description
A pair of George III Sheffield plate candlesticks (English, c. 1790) with long stop fluted ionic columnar stems on square bases. The bases are accented on each side with an oval cartouche draped with bell-flower swags with a band of gadrooning above and below. The candle sockets are fitted with removable bobeche (candle collars) with squared corners and a gadrooned rim.
