Description
A glazed redware storage jar and cover (American, likely Pennsylvania, 19th century) of cylindrical shape with an everted straight sided rim, sloping neck, and shoulders with horizontal banding. The cover has a cushion knob and cut pie-crust border. Both pieces are covered in a lead glaze with splotchy black markings. The glaze on the body falls short of the foot rim base.
