Description
A pewter porringer (American, late 18th century) made by either David or Thomas Melville of Newport, RI. It features a pointed flowered handle with delicate foliations. The Melville anchor mark is pressed into the central shield shaped portion of the handle. A shallow incised "W" is on the handle bracket.
