Description
A George III Sheffield silver plated coffee pot (English, c. 1790) with a hinged lid and curved spout. The coffee pot has a wooden fluted handle terminating in acanthus leaves at the top and bottom. Bands of beading decorate the spout and the top and bottom rim. The hinged lid is topped with a flaming urn finial. Two hallmarks are pressed on the outer edge of the bottom rim, a city mark of an anchor for Birmingham, England and an "FM" maker's mark.
