Description
A Chinese export sepia monochrome teabowl (Chinese, c. 1770) with a barbed opening rim. The exterior is painted with a continuous European landscape scene, depicting a house by a lake with three cows and two herders in the foreground. A thin sepia black and gold border decorates the exterior rim, while the interior rim border is more ornate.
