Description
A THREE-PIECE LOUIS XV STYLE MANTEL GARNITURE (French, c. 1900) comprised of a clock (.1) and two matching candelabra (.2-.3).
.1 (clock): The circular enamel dial is painted with floral swags and fitted with two bronze arms. The face is covered by a hinged glass window. The dial is flanked by four flaming vases astride a small galleried cornice and surmounted by a marble and ormolu shaped urn. The cornice is raised on four Doric columns decorated with ormolu floral swags, a pendulum shaped like a basket filled with flowers hangs from the center. The columns stand on a marble platform base decorated with ormolu pearled beading and stands on four toupie feet.
.2 - .3 (candelabra): The two matching four-branch candelabra, with curling foliate ormolu arms, are supported by a black marble columnar stand on a square white marble base decorated with ormolu pearled beading.
