Description
A 14k gold vermeil frame (French, early 20th century) retailed by Cartier, the frame contains a reproduction photograph depicting Virginia Fair Vanderbilt (1874-1935), the wife of William K. Vanderbilt II. Taken around 1900, she is shown seated in a Louis XIV style armchair wearing a lace embroidered day dress, pearl necklace, and holding a cluster of flowers. The rectangular frame has an easel stand and mahogany back, along the bottom it is stamped "Cartier 14k."
