Description
A MANTEL CLOCK (French, late 19th century) retailed by Tiffany & Co., New York. The veneered tortoise shell case is set with a front glass door, glass side panels, and decorated with ormolu mounts. An ormolu putto shaped figure sits on top of the case holding an hour glass. The front door has an ormolu Venus and Cupid in relief. The gilt clock face is set with porcelain enamel Roman numerals and signed "Tiffany & CompY / New York." The case stands on four floral shaped ormolu feet.
