A PAIR OF BERGERES (French, late 19th century) from the workshops of Jules Allard and Sons, with upholstery by the House of Tassinari. Original to Mr. Vanderbilt’s bedroom at Marble House, the gold silk velvet upholstery of the chairs matches the drapes in the room.
