Description
A GEORGE I HANDKERCHIEF TABLE (English, c. 17120) composed of walnut. The folded table is triangular in shape and opens into a diamond shape with a flat top banded with herringbone marquetry. The top opens to reveal a leather topped writing surface, a book stand, and two shallow compartments. The table stands on four slightly curved legs which terminate in squared off slipper feet.
