Description
A LOUIS XV GRAY PAINTED WOOD BERGERE (French, c. 1760) upholstered in a salmon colored velvet secured with brass tacks. The arched crest-rail is carved with a floral spray along the top at center. The padded armrests are raised on curved foyer supports. The serpentine molded seat rail is carved with a floral spray similar to the crest rail. The chair is supported by four cabriole legs terminating in scroll feet, the front two legs have bell-flowers carved on the knees.
