Description
A MAHOGANY INLAID FALL-FRONT SECRETARY (Dutch, late 19th century) of rectangular shape. A long drawer with brass hardware sits above the fall front, and a pair of paneled cabinets lies below. The exterior is decorated throughout with a floral and foliate urn inlay. The fall front opens to reveal compartments and open shelves, there are two small drawers on each side of an interior door, these and the fall front table top are inlaid with a floral design. The canted corners along the front side edges of the case are fluted and lead to square tapered legs in the front, while the back is supported by two bracket feet.
