Description
ONE EARTHENWARE SOUP TUREEN & STAND (Chinese, 19th century), a gold and blue border on a white ground decorates the tureen, stand, and cover. The body of the tureen has an armorial design in blue and gold of a bird perched above a shield shape at center, and two gold colored twisted basket weave style handles on either side. The lid is topped by a strawberry shaped finial and has two small circular scenes of a house in a landscape. This same scene is printed on the center of the stand/under plate.
