One Mantel Clock

ONE MANTEL CLOCK in the French Directoire style. A suspended drum movement is supported by a stepped rectangular pedestal surmounted by sphinxes and flanked by caryatids, this stands on a black marble rectangular base with a raised ormolu frieze depicting putti in a procession. The enameled copper dial has a ring of Roman numeral to denote the hours and the minutes marked in fifteen minute increments.
