Description
ONE THREE-PIECE BLANC DE CHINE MANTEL GARNITURE (Italian, c. 1900) by Capodimonte, Naples. The three pieces sit on conforming gilt-wood bases. The garniture is made up of .1ab: which depicts Flora fashioning rose wreaths from a basket of flowers offered by Eros, representing "Spring," .2ab: which depicts three putti around harvested wheat, flowers, and a bird with its nest, representing "Summer," and .3ab: which depicts three putti huddled around a fire, representing "Winter". Marked on the inside rim of the underside with a crowned "N" in blue.
