Description
A CIRCULAR SILVER CHESTNUT BOWL (American, 19th century) by Tiffany and Co., New York. The bowl has a wide, down-turned, pierced rim and pierced cover with an acorn-shaped knob. The inside of the bowl is engraved with the initials "GEAR" (for Gwendolen Ella Armstrong Rives, 1911-1972). The under plate is decorated with an engraved dog along the rim. The underside is stamped with the maker's mark "Tiffany & Co/maker's/Silver-Soldered/65/12 in/E."
