Description
STERLING SILVER EWER (American, 19th century) by Samuel Kirk and Son, Baltimore, MD. The ewer has an egg-shaped body which leads to a circular foot. It is decorated with an overall floral pattern in low relief (repousse), and an angular handle with a goats-head mask. The front of the ewer is engraved with a crest featuring three swans in nests on a shield and the words "Ad Finem Fidelis [Faithful to the End]."
