Description
A SMALL ORNATE PORCELAIN TEAPOT (English, 1880) by the Royal Worcester Porcelain Company, England. The spout and handle of the teapot are done in a bamboo style with gilded paint. The body and lid of the teapot is double walled, with the outer layer done in a pierced lattice work design, painted light blue and pink and decorated with gilded dots and red and yellow shield shapes at intervals. The underside is impressed and stamped with the Royal Worcester Porcelain Company maker’s mark, beneath the standard mark is the letter "R" to indicate 1880 as the year of manufacture.
