Description
ONE EARTHENWARE TEA KETTLE (Japanese, 19th century) with a ribbed handle and spout. A design of cranes gathered on the ground and flying is painted on the green/gray clay body of the tea kettle. There is gilding around the spout opening, the rim of the lid, and the top of the knob handle.
