Description
A LIGHT HACKNEY CART (American, c. 1900) by Brewster & Co. of New York. The cart has side-by-side seating in tan Bedford cord upholstery. The driver's seat has a padded backrest and luggage compartment with a canvas drop cover and black-painted wickerwork on three sides. The frame is mounted on semi-elliptical springs and light 14-spoke wheels with iron tires & brass cased hubs. It has red and black shafts for a single horse, leather padding & brass fittings.
