Description
A BROUGHAM CARRIAGE (French, 19th century) by Million., Guiet & Co. of Paris. It is painted in Vanderbilt livery with the monogram "CV" on the sides. The passenger compartment is upholstered in buttoned maroon leather with a maroon velvet head cloth. The doors and front have sliding windows, all fitted with roller blinds. The coachman's seat is also upholstered in maroon felt, flanked by the original circular carriage lamps. The frame is mounted on elliptical springs with a single shaft for two horses and rubber tired wheels with metal hubs.
