Description
A WOODEN OVAL HATBOX (19th century, French) by Goyard Morel. A leather strap extends across the top to secure the lid to the box. The top of the lid is painted black. The interior is lined with bright green cloth. On the inside of the lid at center is an adhered label reading "233 Rue St.Honore 233./pres la Place Vendôme./Maison Fondée en 1792./Goyard St. de M. Morel/Coffretier Emballeur."
