Description
A NEST OF FOUR GRADUATED CARDBOARD HATBOXES (American, c. 1950) by Ethel Atkins. Each circular box is decorated with a printed paper scene of an eighteenth-century French fĂȘte champĂȘtre. The largest of the four boxes bears a blue lid, while the three others have green lids that are printed at center "Hats by/Ethel Atkins/16 Arlington Street/Boston." All four boxes are strung with pink rope handles.
