Description
A CHIPPENDALE CORNER CHAIR (American, 18th century, Newport, Rhode Island) with a diamond-shaped drop in seat, square cut legs, horseshoe-shaped back surmounted by a roll-over backrest and continuing to form out-turned armrests supported by a pair of pierced, vase-shaped splats and three slender, turned and tapered columns. The seat is upholstered in modern reproduction fabric.
