Photograph that is part of black and white photo essay depicting the restoration of the Chinese Tea House at Marble House. The essay is entitled "Newport's Chinese Tea House: Before and after-a story of neglect and restoration." This photo is third in the series. The Tea House is shown with severe damage to its exterior due to Hurricane Carol (1954). A large frame structure near the stairs is completely collapsed; boards and other debris are seen detached from the building.
