Description
A black and white photograph depicting Washington Square during the second half of the 19th century. At the top of the square is the Colony House; utility poles with wires are seen throughout. Buildings line the left side of the square, where several horses and carriages are resting. The building closest to foreground has a sign which reads: "Coggeshall's Cash and Coupon Market." The square, lined with trees, is visible at right.
