Description
An aerial black and white photograph depicting the redevelopment of northern Thames Street and the construction of America's Cup Avenue. At center (western Thames Street) is the Brick Market retail and condominium development. Along the waterfront, the newly constructed four-lane America's Cup Avenue is visible. To the left, the Long Wharf Mall, also newly-built, can be seen. At right is the Historic Hill neighborhood; notable buildings include St. Paul's Church, the Colony House, the Army and Navy Y.M.C.A., the Newport County Courthouse, the Second Congregational Church, and the Clarke School.
