Description
A negative depicting Fairholme prior to subsequent alterations. The house was completed in 1870 by architect Frank Furness; architectural elements include three large gables, a turret-like structure, detailed woodworking, and a large covered porch. In the background, the roofline of the Breakers (1895) can be seen. A tennis net is seen on the lawn, which is bordered by several trees.
