A glass plate negative depicting Vinland during its reconstruction under Florence Vanderbilt Twombly. Two sections of the house are seen divided, with a crane-like device and construction in between. Originally, these two pieces comprised the original house, which was built for Catherine Lorillard Wolfe. Construction materials can be seen spread across the lawn directly in front of the house. The middle section is shown approximately half-completed.
