Negative, Glass Plate

A glass plate negative depicting Canfield House, located on Bath Road (now Memorial Boulevard). The building was a gambling location during the late 19th century. Architectural features include a mansard roof, oval dormered windows, shuttered windows (both rectangular and arched), clapboard siding, and two entrance porches supported by columns and covered by a pedimented detail. Trees and other properties surround the building. A picket fence and sidewalk are seen at foreground.
